About the Firm

Prior to opening Oto Legal, I was Counsel representing the DuPont Company for 23 years. I was a litigator, handling toxic chemical exposure, contract disputes, and product and premises liability matters of every type imaginable. I was one, of many, Defense Counsel whose job it was to protect the Company’s interests. After Covid, like many people, having had ample time to consider the most important aspects of life and career, I decided I had had enough of the Corporate Defense side of the table. Since leaving DuPont, it was my goal to create my own practice, taking cases for people who need help.

We do not charge for most initial consultations, which, you may find, is what most litigation attorneys do. But this has allowed us to hear out many client’s situations and give them an honest assessment and opinion with no commitment required.  It has been quite a change in scenery and, for the most part, a welcomed one.

My firm’s motto is Innovative Solutions for Complex Cases. We try to do things a bit differently, with a goal to reach the best result achievable for Clients after a thorough and thoughtful examination of their unique situation, circumstances and specific needs. This is based both on economics and the imperative nature of the issues they present us with. While we do use traditional Fee Schedule Agreements and Retainers, our goal is always to consider the impact that the expense of litigation may be to each client.

In many cases, by crafting and creating alternative fee arrangements, it allows us to present our services in the best way possible for each client, and for our Firm. While also setting realistic expectations and presenting  all options to our prospective clients, honestly and forthright, at the end of each consultation.
